school's out for summer

School is finally done for the summer. It doesn't feel real just yet. There's much to do in the next few weeks. I'll be posting another batch of lomo photos and adding comments (this time I really mean it).

Weekend report

My first weekend of summer was incredible, even though the weather sucked. I got a haircut, new shoes, new jeans and a new video game! After that I went to Figlio's with my brother and his fianc?. Tonight I went to Moscow on the Hill with the two of them and my mother. It was pretty good, but I wish that I didn't get the duck. It wasn't that great.

Punk'd

I can't stop watching reruns of Punk'd on mtv.

more lomos

I added some more lomos tonight. I also changed the navigation to the right a little bit for now to keep track of my lomo links.

Western State 3

Western State 3 is now playing.

Reason 2.5 now available

Cool. My website is back up. It was a long six hours. I was planning on working on the site this evening, but my hosting provider had some troubles. I ended up playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein far too long and upgrading to Reason 2.5. It's very cool.

insomnia

I hate not being able to sleep.

Friends of Ed and Glasshaus saved!

I rarely read Zeldman on the weekend, but I found some interesting news there today. Meet The Makers is reporting that The Author's Press is acquiring Friends of Ed and Glasshaus. You may remember that I panicked a couple months ago and went on a buying spree when I heard that these publishers were folding.

Cure for insomnia

The past week I've had a terrible time falling asleep. Don't ask me why, but I had the idea to try sleeping on my living room floor and it's been working like a charm.

new wallpaper!

After about a year I've added a new wallpaper. It was created using my photo of the Weisman Art Museum.

Phonetrix

The Matrix Reloaded was a good time. It didn't blow my mind as much as I had hoped it would, but I did like it a lot. I came away needing this cell phone.

lomo7

I put up some more lomo shots today that I took this weekend. I think it's time that I add a separate lomo section to the site instead of just adding links to the menu on the right. I'll work on that as time allows.

This week I decided to rewrite the commenting system I've been working on. I should have it ready to go by this weekend for testing.

G-Max Skateboarding

Oh, man! G-Max Skateboarding is a great way to waste time if you're away from your copy of Tony Hawk 4.

Behold, comments are released

Well, the day has finally come. I've added commenting to this site. I am now looking to all of you fine people to put it to the test. Please let me know if there are any bugs, problems, or ways that I could make it better. Currently, comments will only be available on any items on the front page. I still need to work it into the archives.

macenstein

My iMac just died and the timing could not be worse. I am just starting a new web design project and was looking through the mac fonts (that I promised I'd be able to work with) when I heard what sounded like marbles bouncing around inside the computer. I then started to get horrible errors on the screen. Yikes!

So now I need to buy a new mac or steal one from work for a few weeks. I just went to MicroCenter and looked at an iMac, eMac and a G4 tower. I don't know what to do. I'm kind of freaked out right now.

beer, birthdays, osx and thugs

Happy ninth birthday to zeldman.com. In honor of the event I bought his book.

Last night I went to beer fest and to a few downtown bars with a couple people that I've worked with. Most of you know that I don't go out to bars. Last night was well outside of my comfort zone. It's just not a scene that I'm into. Beer fest was fun and it was fun hanging out, but the meat market bars were just depressing and boring to me.

This might be old news, but I just found out about the upcoming Tony Hawk game. I can't wait until October!

My mac is now rebuilt and ready for action. I upgraded to Illustrator 10 and can now work exclusively in OS X.
